4th Pancake Breakfast Sets Record; Claremont Middle School to Benefit

Saturday, June 8, 2013

On April 6, the Rockridge Masonic Lodge hosted the Fourth Annual Pancake Breakfast to support Claremont Middle School. Working closely with the Masons were the Claremont Middle School Dads Club and the Rockridge District Association (RDA).

The record $5,200 raised by the event will be dedicated to help support school programs focusing on fine arts, music, and the school's state-of-the-art computer lab. The breakfast continues to serve as an important community builder as people from the school, residential and business communities come together for a delicious meal.

The Dads Club worked with Claremont Middle School faculty to distribute tickets to deserving Claremont students who might not have been able to attend.

Once again the Masons put on a great spread and graciously opened up their beautiful facility to the community. This event would not have been possible if not for the efforts of so many who volunteered their time and energy to make it happen.

Special thanks must go to David Forsyth and all the Rockridge Masonic Lodge members who continue to host this annual event, and to Chris Jackson and the RDA for their generous support. Thanks as well to our local merchants, including Market Hall, Trader Joe's, Bosko's Picture Framing, Fit, Nathan & Co., Cutting Up on College, DHR Investment Council, Rockridge Cleaners, Tip Top Bike Shop, and all the teachers, students, families and members of our Claremont community who attended.

We'll see you again next year.
