Oakland Tech Graduates Awarded Over $1.8M in Scholarships

More than 71 dedicated and remarkable seniors of Oakland Technical High School's 2013 graduating class of over 350 received more than $1.8 million in scholarship money.

One student who received five scholarships plans to pursue a career in medicine at Occidental College in the fall. Asked how his scholarships will help, he said, "My scholarships will relieve the stress of financial burden and allow me to focus on academics."
