RCPC Board of Directors Election Rescheduled to May

Sunday, May 8, 2011

What would happen if they held an election and nobody came? It’s an old joke, but nobody laughed when it was discovered that for the first time in RCPC’s 25-year history, there was not the necessary quorum — at least 25 members — to make the vote for board of directors valid. Consequently, the election has been rescheduled for the RCPC Town Hall meeting May 19, 7 p.m., at the Rockridge Branch Library.

If a quorum is present, there will also be balloting the following Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the library. RCPC is offering two added incentives to attend the meeting: First, there will be an update on the two Rockridge Safeway projects (College Avenue and the Rockridge Shopping Center), including an update on what’s happening with the CVS store. Second, refreshments will be served. Please come and participate, and be sure to bring a picture ID and/or utility bill as proof of your Rockridge address.

Also, we offer our sincere apologies to all those RCPC members who did show up to vote and participate at the April meeting. Please come back for the May meeting and cast your vote again.
