Rockridge Library Sprucing-Up Continues

Monday, April 13, 2015

Continuing a number of physical improvements to the Oakland Public Library's Rockridge Branch, the building will have a facelift when its exterior is painted late this spring. The library will remain open for business during the painting project.

Prior to painting, the wisteria landscaping, beloved by many in the community, will be carefully pruned and protected.

The Rockridge Branch Library, first opened in 1996 and located at 5366 College Avenue, has recently added air conditioning to the meeting room and the Teen Area. Later this year, new carpeting and interior paint will complete the renovation.

These improvements are funded in part by a generous donation from the Friends of the Rockridge Library (FORL), in partnership with the city of Oakland.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Jane Lopez, Supervising Librarian, 238-3511.
