Yarn Poll Gives a Sense of Community Views
People passing by RCPC's booth at October's Out and About festival were invited to take a few moments to register their opinions about elements of the neighborhood and The Rockridge News via a string poll.
Devised by RCPC chair Brendan Havener-Daughton, the poll presented statements about a variety of community topics listed on an easel and invited people to indicate their agreement or disagreement with the statement by looping a section of yarn around one of four pins below each statement. The location of the pins under the statement indicated the degree of the respondent's agreement with it. Residents and non-residents were invited to participate. Residents were given a length of purple yarn, non-residents were given yellow yarn. Poll results are presented in the tables below.
