Rockridge’s Halloween Parade: The Freaky Tradition Continues
Bay Area kids and Rockridge’s merchants agree, the annual Halloween Parade is the most exhilarating day of the year to be on College Avenue. On Sunday, October 29, between 11am and 2pm, free Halloween festivities will stretch along College Avenue — from Alcatraz to Broadway — for families to enjoy.
The Rockridge Library parking lot (5366 College) will be the main gathering place for kids’ crafts with MOCHA (Museum of Children’s Art), librarian Storytime, sing-along with “MissSalneous” and her accordion, book giveaways, Magic Show by Germar, whimsical balloon twisters, bubbles, puppets, and more.
Outside of College Avenue Presbyterian Church, 5951 College, you will find, DJ Danny Santos spinning Halloween classics; crafts for kids; and dancing for all ages. Rockridge merchants will be passing out candy to the kids as they Trick-and-Treat down the avenue. The RDA will award prizes for best costumes for kids and pets. In addition to passing out treats, Rockridge merchants will offer special Halloween-themed activities. Look for the posters displayed outside businesses indicating their participation.
