Rockridge NCPC Seeks New Chair

Thursday, July 10, 2014

The Greater Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) bids farewell to chairman Frank Castro, who is moving on to other pursuits. He has served as NCPC chair for Greater Rockridge (police beats 12Y and 13X) since early 2010.

We will miss Frank, but the organization now needs a new chairman. None of the three existing officers can take on the chair position, although until another volunteer is found, the chair's duties will be shared.

The NCPC chairman performs the following duties:

  • Chairs the public meeting held the second Thursday of each month at the Rockridge Branch Library
  • Acts as primary contact point with OPD Area 2 command staff
  • Attends the bimonthly Area 2 leadership meetings.

To volunteer for this position, email the current staff at
